SlideJams, my concert photo music mashup project, has a new domain name, logo, home page, and site design. Next, I need to fix a minor bug that causes a page load error a tiny percentage of the time. The code is a mess and some of the changes are slow-going, but I’m fairly happy with what I’ve been able to put together in just a week of spare time with no prior programming / design experience. Even minor changes like adding a border or a little padding between objects on the screen require that I look up the HTML / CSS / Python code online. It’s a little frustrating at times (I’d kill for a GUI development tool for Google App Engine similar to MS Access), but I’m learning as I go.
Let me know if you have any feedback, good or bad.
